Dr. Scott Parmiter was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. His father was a logger and professional forester, and his mother was a nurse. After he graduated high school, he took one year off from school and worked to save money for college. He worked for British Columbia Railway (BCR), The Canadian Department of Transportation, Peace Wood Forest Products, and Jacobson Products Sawmill, located in Williams Lake British Columbia. He thoroughly enjoyed working for all these companies because, as a young man, hard work is always welcome!
